At the moment our first consultations are complimentary. They are are chance for us to get to know each other and to see if we are a good fit. At the end of the first meeting we will give you a clear understanding of our cost structure before any work is commenced - no surprises.
Before we get to the initial consultation stage, we recommend jumping on a quick, free phone call with an Adviser which you can book through our website.
Yes. One of the positives to come out of Covid in 2020 was it forced us to become great at online meetings so clients get the same value as if they were with us face to face. We are now tracking at 50% online and 50% face to face at our Newcastle West office, it really depends on what works best for you and your schedule. It has also made it very easy to service clients outside of Newcastle.
Yes. If the advice only relates to Superannuation it can be fully deducted from your fund. If the advice also includes personal strategies the fee can be split between the two. We'll always try to structure the fees in the most tax effective and cashflow effective way possible for each client's needs.
Yes. Unlike most Financial Planners we don't have a bias towards shares. Many of our wealth creation strategies involve using equity in the home to purchase investment assets tax effectively. We encourage our clients to own shares, property, and make the most of their Super.
We also have extensive experience in using Super to invest in property through SMSFs if appropriate.
No, we are not suitable for everyone. We only work with clients who fit our positive culture and for whom we can clearly add significant value through great planning and advice.
We have not bought our client base from any bank or financial institution either, or from any older retiring Advisers like how most other Financial Planning businesses got started or grew. We have grown the business from scratch and all our clients have chosen to work with us rather than being sold to a new business with no choice.
We offer a personalised, high-touch service so only have room to take on 2-3 new clients each month.
Our favourite clients to work with are:
1. Pathway to Wealth
Everyday families who have made good progress on their mortgage and are ready to start investing for financial freedom in 15-20 years.
2. Retire in Style
Self-funded pre/retirees who have paid off their mortgage (or close), have $1M+ of investable assets and want a clear plan to make their money last for a long, comfortable, stress-free retirement.
3. Inheritors
People who have recently inherited money from a loved one make up a large portion of our client base. Receiving money from an inheritance can be emotional and unexpected but once the dust has settled it can also be a great opportunity to set up your future.
Note: We do not offer Budgeting advice or Centrelink/Age Pension advice.
